May Getaway 2008
This
year at the OBS May Getaway there were a few highlights.
On 5/4/08 Laurie and I went
for a ride starting at one Benham
Place
to ride into Edmond as we were going to Arcadia and Jones for
lunch. We got to the south side of Edmond and Laurie had a
little upper chest pain, we stopped.
She felt better so she wanted to go on. We decided to go to 15th street and turn east to
Bryant and go south to the van. We
only got headed 2 blocks south and she had pain again.
I called John Lerma and asked for a fast ride to the van.
We got home and checked her blood psi and it was good, she wanted to try
again to ride around Hefner. We
ended going to Integris Hospital.
They put her in a luxury suite room 933 and had to put in a stent on
Monday 5/5/08. I got her home on Tuesday
nite.
All of this said, we couldn’t lead the 2008 OBS May Getaway at Okmulgee.
Like any time with OBS, John Lerma and John Wente took over all the
duties and lead our ride. What a
bunch of nice helpful people we have in the OBS club.
Because she felt up to a road trip on Saturday, we drove
to Henryetta to have lunch with everybody at the Colonial Motel Restaurant.
